Hello! Welcome to DL Photos! My name is Derrick. I grew up in Southern New Hampshire and have always had a love for outdoor adventures and nature. As a child I spent countless hours in the woods playing with my brothers and neighborhood friends. After highschool I joined the Marines where I had the opportunity to travel and saw the Mojave Desert, the Rocky Mountains, the swamps of Paris Island, the coasts of North Carolina and locations overseas.
After serving 5 years in the military I went to college and worked as an EMT for a few years. In college I resparked an old interest and took a formal photography class. I bought myself a camera and have been active in photography since 2019. I graduated college with a Bachelors in Criminal Justice and an Associates in Nursing. I am currently working full time as a nurse serving the community and helping others.
I created DL Photos because of my passion for the art of photography, to preserve moments that hold emotional, spiritual, and historic value for years to come, and of course to share the fondness I have for the beautiful NH landscapes and its wildlife. I would love to share any adventure with my clients and take stunning photographs to commemorate life's milestones and events.
Now I am capturing New England's events, being present in the community and helping out charities, organizations and communities capture precious moments, and document history. I capture moments in your life not for the sake of taking a photograph, but to tell your story.
